I was surfing the kayak videos over at YouTube and came across this one. Overall it’s fairly unremarkable, it’s a guy out kayak fishing. Two things struck me while watching it.

First, how does he have the camera mounted? That’s actually a pretty cool shot. I’m envisioning some sort of pole that mounts into a scotty rod holder, or similar with the camera mounted to the other end.

Second, there sure is a lot of stuff in front of him. That’d annoy the crap out of me, but I come from a fly fishing background and all that gear would foul a fly line. What does the front of your boat look like? (leave a comment below!)
