Ok, so this is likely too geeky but I found it interesting so maybe there’s one or two others out there who will also.
I was surfing the net just now and came to Google Trends. Naturally, I searched for “kayak fishing”. Who wouldn’t… right? Here are the results…
Here’s the graph they presented. I thought it interesting that since 2005, the “kayak fishing” search traffic has peaked in the summer and sharply declined in the fall. Could this be an effect of football season? Maybe back to school?

Below is the data that they showed on the site. The country statistics surprised me in that New Zealand far outstripped the US in searches for “kayak fishing”. Additionally, the city listings confirmed one of my personal theories.. that within the US Florida, Texas, and California are the hot spots for kayak fishing. Seeing Boston there is interesting. Thoughts?

I’d look at the Cobra Fish ‘n Dive, or the Ocean Kayaks Big Game Prowler. Definitely test paddle a boat first, but either of those should handle a man of your stature.
