Alex Hill Since my Dad was in the Navy, I grew up all over the country. Funny thing about the Navy is that most of their bases are near water (most, but not all), so fishing has been a part of my life since I was little. Many of my earliest memories involve fishing with my Dad, who taught me how to fly fish at an early age. I lost touch with the long rod for a number of years, but while I was stationed at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma I picked it up again. Today a fly rod is my tackle of choice, but that doesn’t mean I’m a stranger to a spinning rod with a soft plastic lure or even some live bait. I currently live in Austin, TX with my family and try to get to the coast as often as possible.

TJ Pilgrim aka: "JollyRoger" T.J. Pilgrim was born in 1976 and grew up in the Piney Woods of East Texas between the lakes Sam Rayburn and Toledo bend. Most of his weekends were spent on the lakes with his parents who both participated in tournament bass fishing. A self-proclaimed adrenaline-junkie, T.J. was always looking for ways to make his fishing more exciting. It was only natural that he be drawn to kayak fishing. While he still enjoys fishing the lakes and surf with his dad, the majority of his time is now spent catching sharks, bull reds, and jacks from his kayak.

Joe Poole I was born & raised in Victoria, TX to a family of 3 boys with an outdoorsman father. My dad had an oilfield construction business. Hunting and fishing were his main ways of entertaining his clients. I started fishing for bass with my dad at age 10. We started tournament fishing when I was 11. That same year we started fishing the salt too. I was hooked!!! I have been fishing Texas bays and lakes now for over 38 years. As a young adult living in Victoria, I wade-fished Port O’Connor and Rockport from my 17′ Boston Whaler usually 2-3 times a week. I moved to Austin 1986 and sold my boat. In 2001, I discovered kayak fishing and I really got hooked!!! I have found that the kayak to be so stealthy and I love the solitude of the kayak. I fished competitively on the Wilderness Systems Kayak Fishing Team in 2005. I now regularly fish the Rockport to Corpus area including PINS (Padre Island National Seashore) for redfish, trout, and flounder as well as Lake Bastrop and Fayette for big bass.
